DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2009 TIDE Exhibitionにて新商品を発表します。

徳島県木竹工業協同組合と立ち上げた新ブランド「AWA」をDESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2009に出展します。
AWAは「阿波」。徳島はかつて「阿波の国」と呼ばれていました。
AWAは日本の古と今をつなぎ、産地を未来に繋げていく、古く新しいプロジェクトです。
TIDE Exhibitionでは、新作「Cartesia」「Imaginary」「UNIT1,2,3」を展示します。ぜひ足をお運び下さい。

NEW furniture of AWA at DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2009

A collaboration between traditional Japanese techniques and new design has started.
Together, Tokushima Wood & Bamboo Industrial Cooperative Society Confederation and NOSIGNER announced their new wood furniture brand "AWA" at DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2009.
When Tokushima was once called the country of Awa, the tradition of wood furniture was initiated by ship builders. Thus, AWA decided to go back to its Tokushima woodworking roots to form this new and yet traditional project to bring Japan's wood working culture into the future.
At DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2009 I exhibit three new furniture series of the brand AWA: Cartesia, Imaginary and UNIT 1,2,3.
Furthermore you can take a look at all of AWA's furniture at the exhibition.
