Rebirth
2008

Rebirth is the lighting product which is made by real egg shells.

Egg shells are very fragile and weak material, but you can make a big
structure by attaching them in a mutually complementary form.
And then, the structure becomes an autonomously-controlled
beautiful shape of necessity such as naturally-occurring form.

In this age with tons of artificial things around us, I feel many people
desire to have 'real things,' which provide them actual feeling of
being, by experiencing nature or life itself.

This light with the name of Rebirth, is a design product which was born
from life itself.
When you realize the signature of lives on the surface of egg shells on
Rebirth, you may feel some special emotional ties between the Rebirth
and you.

Rebirthは、本物の卵の殻をつなぎ合わせて作られた照明です。

卵の殻という素材はとても脆く弱いものですが、
互いに力を分散させ補うことによって、このような大きい構造を作ることが出来ます。
そのとき必然的に生まれる形状は、自然界に見られるような、
自律的な関係性による美しさを持っています。

人工的な物に囲まれた時代に生きているからこそ、
人はいま特別な愛着を持つことができ、生きている実感が湧くような、
「命や自然のように本当の物」を求めているように感じます。

「生まれ変わり」という名前を持つこの照明は、まさに命が生み落としたデザイン。
卵の表面にうっすらと透ける生命の痕跡が、あなたとこの照明の間に、
ただの「物」と「人」の関係にとどまらない奥行きを感じさせてくれるはずです。

Hatch
2008

Hatch is a planter made of real egg shells which gives the nutrition of
egg shells to plants while they grow.
Hatch gives you a feeling as if the plants are grown up from the eggs.

When the plants are grown, you can return them to the wilderness with
Hatch because Hatch, the egg shells, has biodegradability.
Someday after 10 years, the plants that you brought up may become
a part of the big forest.

Hatchは、本物の卵の殻をつなぎ合わせて作られた、種から植物を育てるためのプランターです。

このプランターは、まるで卵から生まれたように植物を育てることが出来るだけでなく、
卵の殻がもっている有益な栄養により、植物の成長を助ける効果があります。

卵の殻は生分解しますので、いつか植物が大きく育ったら、
プランターごと自然に帰してあげてください。
あなたが育てた苗が、10年後に大きな木として森を豊かにするかもしれません。

Triangle Square Rhombus

These are the series of products of accessory cases and pen stands.
Their shapes are triangle, square and rhombus.
Each cases has magnets on sides and by combining a few of them, you can
make geometrical-beautiful shape autonomously.
(This product is a collaboration of nosigner and Mr. Masao Tsuboi who is
a wood craftsman in Tokushima, Japan)

三角と四角とひし形を組み合わせた、小物入れのシリーズ。
それぞれが磁石でくっつくようになっており、
これらを数個ずつ組み合わせることによって、
自律的な美しい幾何学模様を作ることが出来ます。
(このプロダクトは、徳島の木工職人・坪井工芸とのコラボレーションによるデザインです。)
